Bollard Pull — Static Towing Force

ASABA measures vessel bollard pull, including after main engine repairs. The work programme and permissible load of the complete test arrangement are agreed for each vessel.

Towing Equipment Testing

Towing appliance checks follow an agreed programme. After machinery repairs, the harbour trials and, where required, sea trials specified in the programme are performed and the results documented. The appliance type, functions to be checked and permissible loads are confirmed before work begins.

Certified Test Rigging

The equipment includes two G2140 shackles with a safe working load of SWL 200 t and a CCS marine product certificate. Both shackles have passed magnetic particle testing.
